Amanda Adams, APRN is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, with additional board certifications in Emergency and Psychiatric Mental Health. She provides compassionate, comprehensive care to patients from birth through end-of-life. Her inclusive approach ensures that families know they can bring every member, even the youngest, to her for care.
Adams earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Science/Exercise Science at Florida State University before completing her Associate and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. Johns River State College in Orange Park, Florida. She began her nursing career at Orange Park Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience on both the adult step-down/telemetry and pediatric units. While continuing her clinical work, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Adams has since completed a two-year Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health at Walden University. This advanced training culminated in an additional board certification, further enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive care.
She is highly skilled in the management of complex medical conditions, including diabetes (with insulin pump initiation and ongoing management), thyroid disorders, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, autoimmune diseases, migraines, and mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. In addition to chronic disease management, she provides preventative care including well-woman exams, pap smears, and annual physicals.
Adams is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and actively serves as an educator and preceptor for nurse practitioner students.
Outside of her clinical work, Amanda leads an active lifestyle and enjoys running, competing in Spartan Races, and spending time at Disney with her two children and family.
