Scott Marberry, M.D. is board certified in family medicine and primary care sports medicine and is a candidate for board certification in obesity medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City in 2013. He served his residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando where he was the chief resident. Dr. Marberry completed his sports medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. In recent years, he was accepted as a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
Before joining Coastal Health, Dr. Marberry was an attending physician for the Center for Health and Sports Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. He is one of the leading experts in his field with multiple publications and educational presentations.
Dr. Marberry combines the full spectrum of family medicine care along with knowledgeable treatment for non-surgical orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, tendinitis, strains, sprains and fracture care. He performs ultrasound diagnostics and image-guided injections for all extremity treatments, which include hyaluronic acid and cortisone injections.
Dr. Marberry has served as team physician for many high school and collegiate athletics, being present on the sidelines for immediate medical evaluation and sports physicals. He has also covered large events such as marathons and triathlon medical coverage, international volleyball (FIVB) coverage, and is one of the team physicians for USA Taekwondo. Dr. Marberry holds affiliations with the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Medical Association and the Florida Academy for Family Physicians.
