ABOUT 

Dr. Mary Catherine Stewart is a dedicated family physician who is proud to serve the community she has called home her entire life. Born and raised in the Waycross and Blackshear area, Dr. Stewart is deeply committed to improving the health and well-being of the people of Southeast Georgia through compassionate, patient-centered care. 

Dr. Stewart earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, magna cum laude, from Mercer University. She completed her family medicine residency training at Memorial Satilla Health, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive primary care, preventive medicine, women’s health, and chronic disease management. Her education and training reinforced her passion for community medicine and caring for patients across all stages of life. 

As a family physician, Dr. Stewart believes that the foundation of excellent healthcare is built on strong relationships. She is passionate about preventive medicine and helping patients take proactive steps toward healthier lives. By partnering with her patients and getting to know them personally, she strives to provide individualized care that supports their long-term health goals and enhances their quality of life. 

Dr. Stewart values the opportunity to care for multiple generations within families and enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients. She is committed to being actively involved in the community and considers it a privilege to serve the friends, neighbors, and families who have shaped her own life. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Stewart enjoys reading, antiquing, and spending time with her family and friends. She is grateful for the opportunity to practice medicine in the community she loves and looks forward to caring for patients for years to come.
