Dr. Mark N. Brinkman, D.O. is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing patient-centered, evidence-based, and compassionate care for individuals and families of all ages.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia Campus after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, graduating magna cum laude from Columbus State University. Dr. Brinkman completed his family medicine residency at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Prior to joining Coastal Health, Dr. Brinkman practiced for six years as an attending family medicine physician in Nassau County, where he provided comprehensive care for both pediatric and adult patients. His clinical experience includes management of acute and chronic conditions, as well as a broad range of in-office procedures such as joint injections, skin biopsies, incision and drainage of abscesses, wound care, and suturing.

Dr. Brinkman is passionate about building strong patient–physician relationships and believes in partnering with his patients through education and counseling to help them achieve their individual health goals.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Brinkman has been actively involved in scholarly and quality improvement initiatives. His contributions include a published article with the Family Physicians Inquiries Network, multiple grand rounds presentations, and a research poster presentation at the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians Annual Scientific Assembly. He has also participated in quality improvement efforts focused on improving home blood pressure monitoring for patients with hypertension.
