Courtney B. Walker is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserves Nurse Corps. With over 15 years of nursing experience across critical care, anesthesia, and family practice, she brings a wealth of clinical expertise to her patients and military leadership roles.
Courtney earned her Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Massachusetts and her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nurse Anesthesia from the University of North Florida. She also holds dual bachelor’s degrees in nursing, Political Science, and Philosophy.
Her career includes extensive service as a critical care nurse in both military and civilian hospitals, with assignments spanning Naval Hospital Guam, Naval Hospital Jacksonville, and trauma centers in Florida. Currently, she practices in family medicine while serving as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command Jacksonville, where she oversees 74 Nurse Corps Officers.
Courtney has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Junior Officer of the Year. She is known for her dedication to patient-centered care, her leadership in trauma and critical care training, and her commitment to advancing military medicine through education and mentorship.
