Shameka King, MSN, RN, CCRN, FNP-BC earned her Master of Science in Nursing at South University in Savannah, Georgia and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Johns River State College in Orange Park, Florida. King has experience in diverse nursing situations that include serving as a nursing supervisor at UF Health, in-home health care, trauma and intensive care, critical care and family education, as well as with people with brain and spinal cord injuries. 

Her work includes nursing, data collection and analysis and performance improvement projects. King is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. In addition to her work in local hospitals and clinics, King organizes healthcare education and blood pressure readings at local churches. She had also been active in pandemic work in the community.
