Kristy Gowen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, community-centered care. A lifelong resident of Camden County, she is honored to serve the same community where she was born, raised, and is now raising her own family. 

Kristy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Coastal Georgia in 2013 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia College and State University in 2023. She is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida. 

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Kristy spent a decade with the Georgia Department of Public Health, where she worked across a variety of programs including women’s health, immunizations, infectious disease, and chronic disease prevention. Since earning her certification, she has practiced in both urgent care and primary care settings, providing care for patients of all ages. 

Kristy is also passionate about global health and had the opportunity to provide care in underserved rural communities through Honduras Outreach, Inc.—an experience that deepened her commitment to delivering empathetic, respectful, and patient-focused care. 

She is certified in Basic Life Support and actively involved in professional and community initiatives. Kristy is a member of the Georgia Nurses Association and has served on the Camden Connection leadership board as well as the Coastal Health District Good to Great committee. 

Kristy’s approach to care is rooted in strong relationships, listening, and trust. She believes healthcare should always feel personal and is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment for every patient and family. 

Outside of work, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, crafting, decorating, boating, and staying involved in her local community.
